About the Wideman Education Foundation (WEF)
Founded by Mr. Max Wideman, WEF is a non-profit organization focused on helping young people develop the life skills needed by today’s employers. Although now retired, Mr. Wideman remains one of the world’s most respected professional Project Managers and is regarded as the founding father of modern Project Management practice. A former President and Chairman of the worldwide Project Management Institute (PMI), Mr. Wideman led the panel of experts who created the initial versions of the “Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge” (the PMBoK® Guide). Today the evolution of that work provides a worldwide benchmark against which professional Project Managers are certified.
